Posting early in the day today, as I've got lots of running around to do. I did start this one last nite, so I just had to put the finishing touches on this morning. The flourish stamp I think is a $1 stamp, but I'm not sure, there's no name on it. I stamped it twice with Perfect Plum and then cut around it. Then I stamped it a few more times in Groovy Guava and cut out the flowers and pop-dotted them. I also added Frosted Lace Stickles to them. The ribbon is from Target. The lilac paper is a scrap, and then I also used Groovy Guava.

It's going to hit 3 digits this weekend here in AZ, so it's the time of year (I'm told) to get things done early in the day or later in the evening. Well I have my priorities, and if I'm going to do any kind of card creating today I need some double stick tape!! I also have some coupons that I want to use, so into the shower I go. It's 10:30ish here and I think it's in the 80's already. Ya gotta luv it!!

Have an awesome Saturday - Peace and lots of LOVE.....
Hi there - sorry I haven't posted in a couple of days. Here's a layout that was inspired by debbiedesigns on splitcoaststampers.com. Hers was done with butterflies, but you know me - any chance to change it into dragonflies and I certainly will. The background cardstock is a grayish/black scrap and then the squares are Blue Bayou, River Rock, Soft Sky and So Saffron. The dragonflies are then stamped on white with the same ink colors and then pop-dotted on top of them. The ribbon is from Target.

It's Friday, and it was a short week, but didn't really feel like it to me. I'm glad it's over, lots of changes and stuff happening at work so the next few weeks will be crazier than usual in that respect. People coming and going and pretty soon with only almost 5 months under my belt I'll be there longer than some.

No major plans for the weekend, just want to get my wall of photos up this weekend that I've been taking pictures for. If you know of IKEA, it will be IKEA's square silver frames, 12 of them, grouped together. I was going to buy their prints, but decided taking my own pictures would mean more, so that's what I've been doing. I'll take a "picture of the pictures" wall to share with you if it all turns out like I hope it will.

Have a great Friday nite - Enjoy the Moment - Peace and Love.....
Flight of the Ladybug is what I call this one. I was inspired by a layout that I came across over the weekend, but for the life of me I cannot remember who or where. I will gladly post the name here if anyone can tell me. Basically I used an old stamp set, All Wrapped Up, for the grass/stems and the ladybug. The ink that I used for it is Old Olive, Wild Wasabi and ColorBox classic pigment, the lite green. The flowers are the bride's table confetti from Michael's that I colored yellow with markers. The paper is Wild Wasabi and So Saffron and the ribbon is from Target. I also used some Frosted Lace Stickles in the center of each flower.

It may be Tuesday, but it sure did feel like Monday, didn't it? We had a little cookout on Monday and I think I just overdid it overall over the weekend because I'm so tired I can hardly see straight. Between that and trying to stop cold turkey with some medications that I've been taking, I think it just all really caught up with me today. I know that you're not supposed to do that, and yet I'm on day 5, so I don't really think I can go back now. We'll see. Obviously, no Tuesday girls nite out for me :(

Have a great nite - Peace and love....
What Heroes Gave

Each donned their uniform to be defenders of our liberty,

Their mission sure, their spirits bright - guard freedom's home, be brave to fight,

One final day each faced their call, each gave their best, enduring all,

We'll never know what they went through, but know they loved this country true,

Deep down inside we should all feel,
what heroes gave, their cost so real,

We must stay thankful, grateful of,
the gift of freedom through their love,

Their loved ones bore the gravest pain,
what we can't know, some now sustain,

To God I pray their pain will cease,
and each will find long-lasting peace,

Remember this from year to year,
what heroes gave shan't disappear,

We'll never let their special day,
their time for honor slip away,

These brave fought for a nation free,
if not for them, where would we be?

Peace and Love (please)....

Another card layout inspired by a splitcoaststamper who's call name is notimetostamp. I used the Merci set, and I really had to curb my desire to color some of it in, but I left it simple. The paper is Black, Soft Sky and Purely Pomegranate, as the ink color of the hearts and flower stamp, hence the name of the card, Pomegranate Hearts. Used some black gingham ribbon and a few rhinestones and pop dots.

We were going to make some chicken kabobs, but I forgot to thaw it, so I guess that'll be for tomorrow. We're opting for taco nite, that's always a crowd pleaser.

All we really did was do some running around today, it's been a cool and overcast day again here in AZ. Really weird. We've got the movie Mad Money to watch tonite, so hopefully that'll give us some laughs - it looks pretty cute.

Peace and love....
Simply Divine my love!! I made this card using a layout that I was inspired by that was made by flaxychick on splitcoaststampers. The paper is from K&Company - the Wild Saffron designer paper set and then I used Sahara Sand for the actual card and for the sentiment background. The flower stamp is from the Time Well Spent set and the sentiment is from Inque Boutique - What a Feeling set. Then a rhinestone silver brad and some ribbon scraps. Oh - and lots of pop dots! I'm happy with it, let me know what you think!

It's Friday!!!!! Well it went from 108 to like 70 something and rain. It's been thundering and raining and it's just pretty crazy out there right now. We're about to get some dinner together for the kids and we were planning on grilling so I hope it clears up in a little bit or we'll have to figure something else out.

Have a great nite - Peace and love.....

This card is a case of sorts of Starved4Creativity's design on splitcoaststamper that I had in my favorites from back in January. Hers won an award and it caught my eye then and seemed simple, but it was kind of more detailed than I thought it would be. I added more layers and rhinestones and I used some raffia. The stamps are from Inque Boutique - the What a Feeling set.

It's Thursday and I'm ready for the season finale of Grey's Anatomy, I think. Even tho we got ripped off of the season with so few episodes, it's still my favorite show.

It was a much better day at work today, and it was really busy on top of it, which I enjoy because the day just zooms by so quickly. We are getting out at noon tomorrow, so that we can all get a jump start on the nice long weekend, and of course that sounds awesome to me!

Have a great nite - Peace and Love...
Pucker Up!! This was fun to make in an it's ok to color outside of the lines way, if you know what I mean. I just went crazy stamping all on top of each other to see what I'd get and I liked it! I used Color Box Petal Point classic pigment inks, the ribbon is from target, and the stamp is from the Tart and Tangy set. The sentiment stamp is from Stampabilities and I used Staz On Black ink for it. Certainly a summery fun card.

What is today Wednesday? Ok well today it was my turn to be crabby at work. Didn't plan it, but it certainly happened. It was crazy busy for whatever reason, which causes everybody else to dump what they can't get done on the front desk, so I was running around crazy. I am proud to say that I got everything out the door that needed to be done and my desk is clean and ready for a new day tomorrow. I hope everybody is in a better mood!

Well it's American Idol's final nite! Who will win - my guess is Archuletta. I like them both, notice I said like, but I LOVED Brooke and really wanted to see her win, but I do hope that we haven't seen the last of all of that great talent she has.

Have a great nite - Peace and Love....
More inchies - sorry - but they are so much fun and I still have a couple of them lying around to use up and then I found this ribbon to go with the sunshine. My dad always sang this song to me when I was little, so the song in and of itself has special meaning to me. The yellow background paper is from scrapgirls.com, the sun stamp is from Year Round Fun II, the ribbon is from Target and the blue textured paper is from DCWV. I did some faux stitching and then put some fun swirly sequins above it. It's 110ish here in AZ, so the sun is certainly a good thing to post a card about today.

It's a Monday, I was really tired this morning and certainly didn't want to be at work, but I was in an ok mood until everybody else showed up and they were not! Geez, I think everybody got up on the wrong side of the bed and it didn't really get better until after lunch. Then 2 of the air conditioners went out in the warehouse and that didn't make for a comfortable afternoon out there for anyone, let me tell you. I hope they get it fixed tonite, or tomorrow won't be much better.

I'm watching Oprah right now from earlier today and it's the Mary Tyler Moore show reunion. What fun! Mary is awesome, but at 70 she definately has had some work done! They even recreated the newsroom and her apartment. Brings back memories, I sure did love that show!

Have a great nite - comments are much appreciated - Peace and Love....
More inchies. They're fun to make and this one is based on a post on splitcoaststampers by Sereikastamper. Again, love the simplicity of these and they are very addictive. The background is from scrapgirls.com, the flower stamp is from the Petal Prints set and the sentiment is from a set that I received as a gift called calligraphy stamps with ken brown. The ink is Old Olive and then I just added two brown brads to it. Sweet and simple.

It's Saturday nite, I'm just finishing watching the movie P.S. I Love You....kinda lame if I must say so myself and kinda sad too. I'm the first in line for a sappy romantic love story, but this one just didn't do it for me. The second movie rented for tonite is Untraceable, sure hope it's better!

Walked over to the local pub down the road a bit last nite and saw some very interesting people not to mention outfits! Just had one and came home - that was enough craziness for me!! I think it hit triple digits here today, not sure. Did some errand running earlier this afternoon and I've been inside since. Love being home on the weekend and just hanging out.

Have a great nite!
This is a design inspired by a challenge on splitcoaststampers - WT166 - Ways to use Inchies. Mine are actually 1 1/4", but I love the concept of them. I actually had this done yesterday when I learned of the challenge, but didn't get a chance to post it, so here it is. There are so many great ideas that everyone has come up with on there, it makes my head spin with ideas. This one is based upon Mona Lisa's designs, except she didn't have the ribbon. It's a very clean and crisp and also very fast and easy concept. The cardstock and ink are Groovy Guava, the sentiment just Staz On Black and the ribbon is from Target. The dragonfly stamp doesn't have any name on it, so I'm not sure where it's from. If you get the chance, go to the website and check all of the great ideas out - you won't be disappointed!

It's Friday - yessssss!!!!! It was a long work week, but seemed to go fast in some ways too. I get out at 3 on Friday's, so I came home and took a nap. That felt so good, I can't even tell you! Anyway, I plan on enjoying every single minute of the weekend and I really don't have any idea what I'm doing! How's that for lack of plans and loving it! I do plan on making more inchie cards this weekend tho, and I will indeed share with you!

Love and peace,
This is my first sympathy card. I'm sorry to say that a good friend's husband has passed away and I really struggled with what to say on this card and then I found this verse and thought it fit. If it's too hard to read it just says - He will live on in the hearts of everyone who loved him. He passed away at 58 of Lou Gehrig's disease after an 18 month battle. Boy sometimes how short life can be just really hits home and reminds you, and this is a big one. Of course she's in Wisconsin and gosh I sure do wish I was there right now, as you can imagine. I started not sharing this card at all here on the blog, because it seemed to be a personal thing, but since this is a very short version of my daily life journal, so to speak, I felt I had to share it. Her life has changed in a way that she never expected and it's just so hard to understand why these things come about and happen to all of the good and happy people, it really makes me sad and downright pissed off to tell you the truth. I do hope that some day there will be cures for all of these nasty diseases that just tear families apart, and I hope it happens soon.

It's a Monday - enuf said? Well it really wasn't too terribly bad for me actually. I had a pretty good day at work, nothing too crazy came my way anyway. The phones were busy with people looking to get interviewed for the positions we have available, so that's always interesting to deal with, but it helped the day go by fast. Tonite, just answer a few emails, get a little ironing done (maybe), dinner and catch the season finale of Medium probably.

Have a great nite and don't forget to tell your significant other you love them tonite.

I haven't done an Inspiration Challenge in a while, so this one is IC27. I've included a picture of the actual suncatcher inspiration picture also. It has a butterfly, but you know I had to change that to a dragonfly now didn't you? I couldn't find a way to include the greenery in mine, so I just kept it kinda pastel and black. Somehow with all of the glitter the center reminds me of a wedding cake. The scallops and the Joy stamp and design look like icing to me I guess. Anyway, I used the sunflower stamp from an old set called Petal Prints for the background with a color box petal ink. The dragonfly stamp is from Rubber Stampede and the Joy stamp is from Inque Boutique - What a Feeling set. The striped skinny ribbon is from Target's $1 spot, the wider ribbon from Michael's. I used Prisma Glitter on the dragonfly and around the Joy circle, but as usual it doesn't show up as glittery in the picture as in person. Then I put 2 pink rhinestones on, and I'm not sure how close it comes to the actual inspiration, but it's just supposed to inspire you to do you own thing and this is what I got out of it. I do love the colors together, so thanks to Itsapassion on splitcoaststampers for the challenge!

It's Sunday, should be almost 100 today here in AZ. Still need to get some grocery shopping done a little later. Went to good old Waffle House for a late breakfast/lunch, so that always hits the spot! I do need to get a couple of cards done today and in the mail, so I'll be sure to share them with you during the week.

Have a great Mother's Day Sunday!
Trying to work on making more masculine cards so I think this one may fit the bill. The background cardstock color is Sahara Sand, and then some Blue Bayou and a scrap of black bazzill. I used the square punch and the star punch and there's some Blue Bayou paper on the inside that shows thru behind the star. Then I just put a silver star brad in the middle, and also put another star behind it so the back of the brad is covered up. Didn't use any stamps, just typed out the happy birthday on the computer and that's about it. This would be a good layout for a July 4th card in red white and blue, so I'll probably keep that in mind when it's time for that.

I slept in til 9 this morning, and then got the house cleaned and the laundry just about done, so I've got the rest of the day to enjoy. I've got the movie A Few Good Men on in the background because I've never seen it. Lots of good actors in it, and I guess it's ok. I know it's supposed to be one of those great movies that probably everybody else in the world has seen, so thought I'd give it a chance. I'll finish watching it, but it won't be on my favorites list. We've got 27 Dresses to watch tonite, so that I'm for sure looking forward to!

Have a great Saturday!
Let's paint the town RED!! That's what the inside says anyway! This is a Dollar Tree stamp that I just thought was too cute and had to have it because for $1 you just never know how you can be inspired by it. I also had not used the spiral bound punch and I must say it's kinda tricky. Not sure if I was having a moment or what, but it doesn't work like I thought it would. Love the results, so I'll have to play with it more. Of course I DON'T have the instructions that came with it! Anyway, just the basics here and some red brads and ribbon is all. I think it's too, too cute if I must say so myself!

It's Friday, and my first full work week now that I'm not working for the temp agency anymore, but on the company's payroll. I'm tired! It's ok cuz I need the $$$'s I just didn't get anything done here at the house like I usually do. Normally all of the laundry is done and the house is clean. Not today! And I'm certainly not going to do it now!

Anyway - have a great evening!
This file folder Mother's Day card is for my sister Deb. I really like the combination of Purely Pomegranate and Groovy Guava, and any chance I get to use the word groovy too! I was inspired by another hibiscus on my patio (see picture below). Anyway, basically just used the medium and small flower stamp in the Time Well Spent set and typed the rest out on the computer. The ribbon is from Target's $1 spot again (luv it), and then also put a pink rhinestone silver brad in the middle of the flower. The silk flower I just had in my stash. Now I just need to get it in the mail and hope it gets to Wisconsin on time!

It's Wednesday, and I had a few adult beverages last nite. Today was very long because of it, so I'm pretty tired. Nothing at all planned for tonite, just dinner and watch some shows and bed. Does anybody else not really care about American Idol anymore? I so wanted Brooke to win! The others are ok, they just don't excite me at all.

Here's a picture of another one of my hibiscus growing on the patio. Once they open tho, the next day they're gone, which is too bad. They sure are gorgeous, aren't they? I've got some orange ones by the front door I'll have to get some pictures of too. Can't seem to grow much else here so far in the desert, and the hot summer hasn't even hit yet!

Well have a great evening and I will be posting a fun little red purse card tomorrow that turned out pretty cute, again with a Dollar Tree stamp!
I bought this stamp a while ago, and decided to finally use it since the cold bug is going around again (I've got it too) and a bubble bath will always help you feel better. I didn't get very good lighting for it since it's kinda late tonite already, but I wanted to post it anyway. The name of the stamp is Bunny Bath and it's from Stampabilities. The bliss sentiment stamp is a set from Inque Boutique called What a Feeling. I used some Bazzil blue and green scraps and the polka dot paper is from K&Company's Wild Saffron paper set. I colored with watercolor pencils, used some clear rain dots from Cloud 9 for the bubbles, and the polka dot ribbon is from Target's $1 spot. Also used is the oval punch and scallop oval punch and 2 brown eyelets. The inside sentiment just says, feel better soon!

It's Monday, and boy what a Monday! I really choose not to repeat some portions of it, and hope that tomorrow brings a much more positive day. Of course tomorrow is Tuesday nite girl's social club, so I've got that going for me anyway and something to look forward to at the end of the day. Between some changes happening at work and other unsettled issues, I sure could use a bubble bath myself right now, but I think I'll just try and get some good sweet dreaming in and try and stay focused and positive.

Have a great nite!
Well I do feel like life has given me lemons today, not feeling good again, and other stuff too just seems to pile up sometimes. I've got the tequila and the lime, so maybe a margarita will help with all of that. Maybe for a little while, but it doesn't make them go away altogether, that we all know. The picture of the front of this card doesn't show the lemons real well, I suppose I should have used a darker ink. This stamp is from the Tart & Tangy set, lots of fun things you can do with it being spring and summertime coming up. It's a good one to add to your collection. The green is Wild Wasabi paper and ink, not sure what the yellow paper is, just had it laying around. The yellow ribbon is from the Dollar Tree and the black gingham from Michael's.

I do plan on getting some more cards done today, if I can get my mojo going that is. Otherwise, just a quiet weekend for me to try and get my body (and mind) back to feeling good again.

Have a great Saturday!
