Hello! How's your Sunday going? Mine is going great. Lots to get done as usual. These are 2 of the cards that we made at our Close to my Heart party yesterday. Ronah is the designer of these fun cards, and she never fails to come up with the cutest stuff! We also made a recipe page, but I couldn't get a good pic of it. This first one is a fun circle Happy Birthday card. I ordered some of this ribbon and I luv the colors of the papers and ink we used for it.Of course all of us in our group luv to add bling to our cards, and this one certainly didn't let us down. They are an iridescent purpley rhinestone that she sez she got at Michael's dollar bin, so I'll have to check that out. All of the stamps and papers are from Close to my Heart. I managed to spend enough to get some monthly deals out of it, and of course we all had a great time. Thanks Ronah and to Becky for her hospitality!

When I came home, my cute BF had supper ready to go. He fixed these kabobs up for us. He marinated some filets in a teriyaki combination, with some potatoes, peppers, onions and pineapple. They were yum-o and I'm such a lucky gal!!

Last nite we rented The Wrestler becuz of all of buzz about it and awards it got, but I didn't like it at all, plus it didn't have a happy ending and that doesn't make me happy.

Neal's got his Twins game on right now, and my Brewers come on in a little bit. Go Brew Crew and beat out the Cardinals for first place! Sorry Cards fans, I luv ya but I've got a t-shirt bet riding on it!

I hope you can relax and enjoy the rest of your day, thanks for visiting, and take care!

Peace and Luv,
Happy, happy Saturday! Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday (shame on me)! I went into work early and then Neal and I had a date nite, so I figured y'all would understand ;) ya?! Anyway, I think this is my first wedding card, interestingly enough. This was a special order and I sure hope they like it. The papers and flower embellishment are from DCWV's LaCreme collection. I used some Nesties and a Cuttlebugged paper, an EK Success border punch, some ribbon and a couple of big pearl and silver brads. Of course there's a rhinestone in the center of the flower too. This is actually a case off of a card I saw on SCS by Amy of Pickled Paper Designs, she's an awesome cardmaker! I was going for the tuxedo look with a feminine twist. How did I do?

Anyway, today I've got a Close to my Heart cardmaking get together this afternoon that's always fun that I've got to get ready for. That'll take me into the dinner hour, so tonite Neal and I are just going to kick back and watch some tv and relax. It's been a long week.

I hope your weekend is a happy one and that it is going well. I appreciate you stopping in to say hello. Take care of yourself and I'll be back tomorrow with what I make today at the par-tay!!

Peace and much, much Luv to ya!

It's Twisted Thursday at Shirley's 2 Girls again and today's challenge, S2GSC12, other than the layout, is to make it monochromatic. This was much harder than I thought it would be. So basically I used all greens, with white. The stamp is called Domino's Hugs SG61 and I colored it in with the same color as the cardstocks, which are SU's Handsome Hunter, Sage Shadow, with another scrap of green that I'm not sure what the name of it is. Then I added some sheer ribbon with a button tied with some crochet thread and 5 pearls. For more details about this challenge go to Karolyn's blog Paper Therapy. Do join us to win some of S2G's fabulous stuff, as you can see this is a simple layout and it's so much fun to see what everyone's take is on it...and.....they have a bunch more new doggie stamps, including some jack russells like my Dixie!! So exciting!

So it's Friday-Eve already! Don't cha just luv short weeks?! I've got some cards to get done before Saturday, so I've got to my butt in gear after work tonite. I'd better get some coffee brewing and get myself ready to get on the road. I hope your day is fabulous, thanks for visiting and for all of your great comments, and take care!

Peace and Luv,
Are your sunglasses on? Well happy Wednesday and this very bright card is for my nephew Zachary who is turning 21!! Can I say that as his Aunt I changed his diapers? I can just hardly believe this precious little baby boy is 21! Anyway on with the card - the papers are Sassafras, it's a Life is Beautiful collection called Pocket Full of Rosies. So it came with stickers too, which is where the flower, stars and the U came from. Then I put a rock rub on from DCWV on a white circle Nestie. The cardstock colors are SU's Pacific Point, black and white. Then there are some black rhinestone stars and an oval one in the center of the flower. Inside there's a big 21 in the same font as the rock rub on. I hope he likes it from his crazy ol Auntie, but if not the check inside should make him smile!

Not too much else goin on here in my corner of the world. Neal's got graduation tonite, so he's done for the summer with teaching anyway. He's got some fun jobs lined up for the summer tho that I'll be telling you more about as they happen. My job is going fine, altho there's an opening in another location that's full time with benefits that I'm going to inquire about today.

I hope your week is going good, I appreciate and luv your comments. Thanks for stopping in and have a happy day!

Peace and Luv,
Happy Tuesday that feels like Monday! It's Day 87 at 365 Cards and the theme is - The Eyes Have it. That means you have to have the word "eye" in the card somewhere. This is the only thing I could come up with quick this morning. The stamp is from AAA Rubber Stamps that I colored in with markers. The papers are from SU Designer Pack II with some Pacific Point, white and ivory. Then I just added some black ribbon and a couple of rhinestones. I guess you can tell I was in a hurry to get it posted is about all I can say about it. I may pull it apart when I get home from work later and do something more with it.

I hope your nice long holiday weekend was good. I did enjoy mine, but now it's time to hit the shower and get on the road. Did you watch the Bachelorette last nite? The only one I can see some hope for right now is the pilot. Not sure what his name is.

Have a great day - take care of yourself and your comments always make my day!

Peace and Luv,

Hi and Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day to you! At 365 Cards:Day 86 - This will be Grape fun is the challenge today. I have no grape stamps, paper or anything else, so I went with the purple colors and then you have to add 5 circles, so I did the 5 purple rhinestones. The image is a digital download, not sure where from but it was free. Then the heart is a SU stamp, from the Polka Dot Punches set. I used a SU Almost Amethyst marker on it and then antiqued it a little bit with ColorBox Chestnut chalk. The plaid paper is from Daisy D's, the Sweet Baby Jane collection, and then there's some light green and purple Bazzill behind that. The ribbon is from Doodlebug Designs. It's sweet, but I think it needs something more, just not sure what.

Peace and Luv,

It's Friday, Friday, Friday and that makes us all happy, happy, happy doesn't it?!! At 365 Cards:Day 83 it's Make it Match day. That means the challenge is to make and envelope to match the card. Well this is my card that I made for the Dragonfly card swap last nite with the gals. The stamp is from my Iowa friend Carol, who shares my passion for dragonflies, not sure who made it, but maybe she'll include it here in her comments today....Carol? Anyway, I colored my little heart out, cut him out and pop-dotted the wings just a little bit and added some rhinestones for a little bling. The brown/flowered image is a digital download, the blue swirly paper is from ATD-the Wildflower paper pad. Then I used some SU Close to Cocoa cardstock with some white and added a pretty sheer ribbon. It was such a fun card swap, and it was great to see all what everybody came up with. We met at Starbucks and there was lots of chatting and coffee and we had a great time. Thanks girls for indulging me in my Dragonfly obsession, yours cards are all awesome!

It's the beginning of a nice long holiday weekend, that I'm sure we're all looking forward to. We have the kids tonite until Sunday afternoon. Neal and Quentin will be going to the cemetary for boy scouts Saturday morning to place flags, I'm sure they'll spend some time in our pool, and then we all want to see some new movies that came out this week. Not sure how much creating I'll be able to get in, but I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for stopping in today - take care of yourself!!

Peace and Luv,

Happy Twisted Thursday!! It's Shirley's 2 Girls - Twisted Thursday - Challenge 11 - S2GSC11 and the twist this week is that it is a 4x4 card! Fun, ya?! I used one of the digital images called Squeeze-SG 77. Such a very cute kitty and baby! I colored it in with markers, pop-dotted it, used some Sassafras Happy Place papers, with some SU cardstock - Riding Hood Red and Yoyo Yellow, and some ivory. I added a Nestie circle and a big red button with crochet thread run thru it. If you'd like more details to join us, go to Karolyn's blog. Don't forget to check out the rest of the design team's creations too!
Pat - Shelly - Justine - Debbie - Erin - Joy - Karolyn

I just finished watching the finale of Idol. It was a pretty good show, but I think that they could totally get rid of the "loser awards" part and have more quality music like they did. Loved to see Rod Stewart and so happy he sang Maggie May! I've seen him 2 or 3 times in concert. So Chris won and that's cool. Adam will have an awesome career as well as a few of the others and I'm happy for him and his family.

I hope you have an awesome day, thanks for stopping in and take care!

Peace and Luv,
Happy Wednesday! At 365 Cards:Day 81 - It's hip to be Square! The challenge is to use 5 squares today and for 6:30 in the morning, this is the best I could do. The paper is DCWV from the All Dressed Up stack and I've used another $1 stamp today too. I colored in the flip flops and put some rhinestones in the centers and then just added some organdy ribbon and more rhinestones. The base of the card is white, and then I used some ivory and black to frame everything out.

I worked until 6:30 last nite and then I HAD to stop at the grocery store because we had no paper towels, no napkins and no trash bags, plus nothing for lunches for the rest of the week. Needless to say it's 1/2 hour drive from work and then with shopping I didn't get home until almost 8 last nite. And THEN my tivo didn't record Idol!!! Oy. I was not happy. So I do hope to be on my couch for the finale tonite, that's for sure.

Well thanks for taking a peek at my kinda lame-o card this morning, sorry about that. I do hope you have a great day, take care of yourself, and leave me with some words of wisdom before you go.

Peace and Luv,
It's all about plaid today at 365 Cards:Day 80 so what better reason to get out my 6x6 plaid stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms, which I stamped onto to white paper with SU's Kiwi Kiss ink. The center stamp was from the $1 bin at Michael's from quite awhile ago, but is one of my fav's. I used my Nesties to frame it, added some Making Memories ribbon, twine and a button. The cardstocks used are SU's More Mustard, Close to Cocoa and Kiwi Kiss. A pretty quick card for me this morning.

Yesterday I worked 1-6:30 and today they want me in early at 9 and there's more orientation so I'll be there til 6:30 probably again. Yesterday was crazy busy, so I do need the time today to get caught up with lots of paperwork.

Ok so did ya watch The Bachelorette? Geez...what a bunch of losers, or at least a lot of them came off that way. I hope it was just nerves or something, or she's not going to have a very fun time with it all. Poor thing.

I guess I need to get a move on and get ready for the day. I hope you have a great day, thanks for visiting, and I appreciate your comments very much!

Peace and Luv,
Hi and Happy Monday! At 365 Cards:Day 79 it's Monday's Manufacturer day. Make a card using one of your favorite manufacturers. Well I have too many to choose from, but today I grabbed some of my new loot from Sassafras the Serendipity line and it's called Sunshine Lollipop. This kid has fun papers, and cardstock stickers and all I did was add some rhinestones and ribbons and I typed up the sentiment. I had my cute little great-niece Tiffany in mind, so this will be on its way to Colorado in the mail for her.

Well today and tomorrow I'm working 1:30 to 6:30 because of the orientation we're having for all of the summer hires. I might even like these hours even better than 10-3! We'll see, but it's just for 2 days. It will be fun tho to meet the kids I've talked to on the phone these last 2 weeks.

I am happy about the winner of Survivor - JT. He seems like a genuinely good kid and he certainly deserved it. He fought hard and played the game well. Guess what tonight is?.......the start of The Bachelorette!! Seriously, if you've never watched before and want some cheap entertainment, this is it so give it a try!

I hope your Monday is good, thanks for stopping in, take care of yourself and I appreciate your comments very much!

Peace and Luv,
Sending you some love on a Sunday afternoon. This layout is for 365 Cards:Day 78 Super Sketchy Sunday. This paper and the embellishments are from DCWV - the La Creme Stack and matching chipboard flocked embellishments. I just added some ribbon and some rhinestones then and that was about it. Pretty simple but elegant I think.

So I got this paper and embellishments at an awesome close-out sale that I went to on Saturday. Holy cow did I get some deals! It was at a building where the Xyron offices used to be and so for instance this 12x12 stack was $5!! Embellishments and ribbons were .50 and $1. I spent $53 and wish I had gotten more! My friend Luping was there working the sale and she enabled me even more! Thanks Luping!

I got to visit with my niece Traci last nite for a little bit on her and her boyfriends layover from Vegas, so that was fun and it was very nice to meet the new man in her life. I approve! She took some pics, I forgot my camera, so I'll post them this week only if they turn out!

That's it for today, I hope your weekend is going well, and thanks for visiting!

Peace and Luv,
Happy Saturday! I haven't been able to do the 365 Cards challenges for the last 4 days, so here is a card that has all of them: Wednesday was Handwritten Sentiment, Thursday was Coffee, Friday was Four Corners and today is Make a Note of it.....sheesh!! Anyway, the papers are from K&Company's Berry Sweet designer mat pack, with some SU Kiwi Kiss, sunflower and white. The stamp is from Scraptivity - the Urban Chat set. Then I added a ribbon bow, some rhinestones and pop-dotted the sentiment. It's not my best, but it is what it is.

I've got running around to do, so I need to hit the shower and get ready for the day. I hope you have a great Saturday and enjoy your day to the fullest. Take care, thanks for visiting, and I'll try and I'll be back tomorrow with something for ya. I really want to get a bunch done tomorrow, and I've got a card swap next week that I need to make a dozen dragonfly cards too, !!

Have a great day!

Peace and Luv,

Hi there and Happy Twisted Thursday!! Another fun Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday sketch challenge for you. The "twist" this week is to ADD SCALLOPS. No problem-o there, ya?! I used the Puppy Love (SG76) image from S2G and you can get it here in the What's New section. I also used some of S2G's paper, the patterned paper is from their Indulge package. Then I used SU's cardstock colors, Cameo Coral, Lovely Lilac, and Creamy Caramel with some white. There's sheer ribbon and a big button. I scalloped the edges of the paper with some Fiskars scissors and there's also a big scalloped circle behind the image, which is also pop-dotted. I didn't realize that we were supposed to also use a color scheme that they picked out (oopsey), and you don't have to use them, but if you do happen to have the colors turquoise, marigold, lime, and fuschia, that would be really cool to use them and make them very happy. All of the details for the contest can be found at Karolyn's blog Paper Therapy, and you have until Sunday to finish yours to win credit towards some of S2G's stuff!! I hope you join us!

Here are all of the other gals links for lots more inspiration:

Pat - Shelly - Justine - Debbie - Erin - Joy - Karolyn

It's Friday-Eve and I get to see my niece and her new beau Friday nite, which I'm very excited about. They have an overnite between flights from Vegas back to Texas here in AZ, so I'm looking forward to seeing them.

I hope your Thursday is great, thanks for visiting, and leave me some luv before you go.
Thank you!!

Peace and Luv,
Is it Wednesday?....I think it is....hehe, anyway Happy Mid-Week to ya and this card is made using the inspiration of the Sketch #14 at Card Patterns. The image is new and is from a set called In My Garden from Pink Petticoat. She comes up with the cutest stuff! So the papers I used are all SU, Pattern Pack II, and then the cardstocks are from the In Color collection. The flower is made with a Sizzlit die cut and then I just added a button and tied it with some twine. I colored in the flowers with markers and I used a Fiskars border punch and a scrap of ribbon that seemed to match pretty good. The image is also pop-dotted. No rhinestones today - believe me I tried to put some on it, but then I decided to just stop where I was, and I'm glad that I did.

I really don't have much new to tell ya. I just finished feeding the stray kitties again this morning. The one has a huge injury on its tail that I'm worried about, so I'm keeping my eye on that. I should try and get some pics of them.

Did you watch Idol?....who's gonna win?! I still would like to see Danny win overall, but I think they are all great and will do just fine with or without winning.

I hope you have an awesome day, that you're taking care of yourself, and thanks for stopping in!

Peace and Luv,
It's May 12th and 222 Challenge week for May at Shirley's 2 Girls. We were given this window/shutter template ahead of time to play with and to display a "View". A dream/fantasy/desire. I had several things come to mind, but in the end it's always Peace and Luv, which is just how I sign off here on my blog everyday that I wish for everyone. I made this using beachy tones, because my dream is to live in a cottage on the beach and when you take a peek inside my cottage window, my hope is that you would feel Peace and Luv. So, the papers are SU's Parisian Breeze. I thought the striped paper looked just like shutters! I used a silver rhinestone brad for the closure with some crochet thread, and I distressed all of the edges with ColorBox Chestnut chalk. So go on over to S2G's, the template is posted there for you to use, and you've got a week to come up with your creation and be in the running to win some credit towards their awesome stuff!

I hope your day is great, thanks for visiting, I LUV hearing from you and checking out your blogs to see what you're up to! So much creativeness out there - you amaze me!

As always - much Peace and Luv to you!
It's Musical Monday at 365 Cards:Day 72, so I used one of the papers that I Cuttlebugged at my friend Becky's with the musical note embossing plate. The image is from Pink Petticoat, the flower consists of a Sizzlit die cut and 2 flower punches with just some random scraps, and then a rhinestone brad in the center. The cardstock colors are SU's Kiwi kiss, Bordering Blue, Night of Navy, with some ivory. I used SU markers, then added some ric-rac and that's about it.

I'm getting caught up right now on watching The View from this morning, they truly are crazy! Did you watch the finale of the Amazing Race yesterday? I'm actually glad with who won, they worked hard. Tonite is the finale of House I think. All these shows ending already for the summer!

Well that's all I've got for you today. I'm glad you visited me here today, I've got something I need to work on tonight for the 222 at Shirley's 2 Girls tomorrow, so I'd better get to it!

Peace and Luv,
Hey there and Happy Mother's Day to all of you out there! The layout for today's card is from 365 Cards:Day 71-Super Sketchy Sunday. I used a Pink Petticoat image and SU's Parisian Breeze papers. Also markers, of course, a Fiskars scallop border punch, some Offray ribbon, rhinestones and pop-dots.

I'm watching the Brewers/Cubs game right now and wishing this darn headache would go away real soon. It's pretty annoying. It's in the triple digits already here in AZ and it will be all week. This is the time of year that I stay in as much as I can. You just do what you need to do, except for going to work, in the morning or when the sun goes down.

I don't have much going on this week, there's a big sale going on this weekend that some of us might get together and go to, xyron and paper stuff, other than that Neal's done with his night classes, so we'll just lay low and do all of the normal things that the week brings. The job is going good, they've got some projects lined up already for me this week that sound interesting, so I'm happy about that.

Have a great day, thanks for visiting, and I always luv to hear your comments!!

Peace and Luv,
Woohoo.......and welcome to the very first Ladies With Attitude Blog Hop for Shirley's 2 Girls!! It's big reveal day!!! Everything they release today (15 - yes I said 15!) are all about moms and kids. The Hop begins at the Ladies With Attitude Blog where you'll find out all about what to do to win the Grand Poobah of Prizes!! If you started here on my blog, as much as I luv that you did, you need to start first at the Ladies With Attitude Blog so that you can understand all of the rules. Don't worry they aren't hard! If you're here after visiting Jackie's Blog, then you are in the right spot!!

So, being asked to be a guest designer for May and all, I had some of these images ahead of time to play with, lucky me. First there's Welcome to your/or our Little Buck-a-Roo (SG78)and also this cute as can be duckie paper! I colored my little heart out on the image with markers, and added some SU cardstock with them, So Saffron and Bashful Blue, with some dark blue and white. I wrapped some thin little ribbon around some of the squares, put the image on a Nestie label, and used a star punch to add 3 with pop-dots. What a cutie!

Next, I used the Brother/Sister Banner (SG69) images to make a brag book. This is one of those $1 books that you see everywhere. I just removed their images and I printed and cut out the banner 3 times on different paper, and put them on top of another patterned paper, all from Kelly Panacci, added some paper flower buttons to both ends, and then put a picture in the center one. I added a couple of rhinestones to the top bows and next to the sentiment. Along the side of the top cover I punched a bunch of holes and tied on scraps of ribbon. This would be a fun and inexpensive way for any proud sibling to carry around all of their favorite new little one's pics!

So.....all of these new images, together with all of the rest of the images, and much, much more can be found at the What's New section of S2G's, and to be eligible for the Grand Prize at the end of the blog, please leave a comment here on my blog, and then hop on over to the next Lady With Attitude, Karolyn at Paper Therapy.

Thanks so much for playing, this has been a fun adventure for me, and have a fantastic day!!

Peace and Luv,
If it's Pink you want, well here's some pink for ya! That's the challenge today at 365 Cards:Day 67-Think Pink. I'm up early and I've got some good energy going, so this is just a quick card I put together for you. I haven't had a card with one of the gals from Pink Petticoat lately either, so I thought it would be a good day for it. The papers are SU's Raspberry Tart that I luv so much, together with some Pretty in Pink cardstock and ivory. I colored her in with markers, used the ticket corner punch, added some rhinestones and ric-rac and I think she's good to go!

So DO NOT forget to join in on the Ladies With Attitude Blog Hop tomorrow at Shirley's 2 Girls, ok?! It's going to be fun and you can win some fabulous prizes. They are also going to reveal a bunch of new stuff, and we all luv new stuff, ya?!

Well I should get going and start to get myself together for the day here. I do hope that you will have an awesome day, whatever it is you have planned. Thanks so much for stopping by, and as always I dig the comments you have for me. Just don't forget to celebrate YOU!!! Take care!
