Happy Friday!! I have a bookmark for you today, but actually it's for me and a reminder to be thankful for every day. It's a celebration of sorts after a stressful couple of weeks for me. I had my first mammogram, shame on me, and as a result of an additional ultrasound I'm happy to say that I'm fine.

This is breast cancer awareness month and it's all over blog-ville, as it should be. I've seen all kinds of beautiful cards out there that y'all have made, and they are all wonderful reminders of how very important it is to get tested. We're all busy, but in order for us to take care of everybody and everything that we women do, we need to take care of ourselves first. I know that you know that, but just do it anyway. It's one more thing that you can check off of that long to-do list.

My hearts go out to anyone who may be fighting this disease right now, or know someone who is, and I can only hope that soon a cure will be found!

I was sitting at my desk yesterday talking with one of our maintenance guys and noticed that he was wearing a pink bracelet. It looked so out of place on a big burly guy until I read what it said..........Save the ta-ta's!

Peace & Luv,
Happy Paper Play Challenges Thursday!! This week the theme is....Halloween!! I wish my pic came out just a tad bit clearer so you could see the the texture of the trim that I used, it's pretty darn cool. The image is from Pink Petticoat on a scrap of DP, and the other 2 DP's are from My Mind's Eye and Creative Imaginations. I used some markers, a label nestie, added some Prisma glitter to the owl's eyes, and then some orange rhinestones.

The rest of the Design Team gals have all "brewed" up some fun things too, so be sure to check them all out and join us. I'd love to see your Halloween creation and you could be one of the lucky winners this week!

Today's card uses the sketch from The Sweet Stop, and also fits into Create with Connie & Mary's theme challenge - Halloween Haunts!

Peace, Luv & Happy Friday-Eve!

Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday! The sponsor this week is the Digi Doodle Shop and this is just one of the sweet images available for all the different holidays and occasions. This is also my first holiday card of the year, and I can actually say I like it too! The cardstocks are SU's Riding Hood Red and Basic Gray, and the DP is from a DCWV Christmas Stack that was given to me recently (I never would have bought it). I'm not sure if I will even in the rest of my lifetime use all of the papers, but it's good to have on hand and some of the papers are not too holiday-ish. The ribbon on the image has Prisma glitter, and then I put a pretty button in the center of the candy canes. I can say that candy canes are one of my favorite things about the holiday season! The image is popped up and besides that, I found some pretty gray sheer ribbon to tie on and it all worked out well following another one of Arlana's terrific sketches!

Be sure to check out the rest of the fabulously creative Design Team's cards for this week, and join us to be one of our lucky winners! The Grand prize is a $10 gift certificate, or you could be one of our Top Three winners!

Have a very sweet Wednesday and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Hi and Happy Tuesday! I'm bringing you a little flower today from Bugaboo Stamps, and it's loosely based off of the Mojo Monday sketch this week. The cardstocks are SU's Brilliant Blue and Creamy Caramel, and the DP's are from DCWV's Garden Stack. Let's see...I used a paper crimper, a scallop border punch, a round nestie, 3 pearls, and a random scrap of sheer ribbon. Just a fun and happy little card to brighten up your day!

Have a fabulous Tuesday and take care!!

Peace & Luv,

Happy Monday to you! This is a blast from the past x 2! I've used this layout before with this CTMH Silhouette DP that I love, and I've also used this image many times but always pull it out when I need to make something quick, but special. The cardstock is SU's Pink Passion, and the beige paper is the reverse side of the floral. I just kind of made up the little Thank You tag and then sewed it onto the jar. The image was stamped with VersaMark and then I used chalks to color it in. I also added some pink ribbon, and some rhinestones to the centers of the flowers. It's a mixture of soft and bright together, but I think it works. I know it's not fall-like, but I was needing to use some pink today for some reason. This is for a card contest that I could win $100 in products for, so wish me luck!

So how was your weekend? Mine was good, and I feel like I could have gotten more done had I not been as lazy as I was on Saturday. But this gal needed some much needed rest! We had the kids, and that wears me out right there, but it's always fun too. We rented the movie Babies, which was Allie's pick, and she just oohed and ahhed over them. It was really cute and I'd recommend it.

I hope your Monday will be great and just the start of an awesome week for you!
Oh and.........GO PACK!! Hehehehe....they beat the Vikings but good (note the new profile pic sporting my Green and Gold!!) I was such a happy girl!

Peace & Luv,
Happy Friday....yippeee!!! Well I finished my little candle project for you. I've been seeing versions of this out in blogland, but couldn't find a template or the measurements anywhere. So I just kinda made some up using some of the multi-colored candles that I got at Ikea. I'm not sure that the projects I've seen actually open up as a card, but that's what I did with mine. The image is from Digi Stamp Characters, and the striped paper from DCWV's Citrus stack. All of the cardstocks are various scraps of the beautiful Fall colors I can never get enough of. Her dress is paper pieced, she's cut out with an oval nestie, with another shadowed piece of cardstock behind her. The flowers are a punch with some teeny tiny buttons in the centers. The ribbon I've had for quite some time and I have no idea where I got it, but my guess would be Mike's. I'd like to make some more of these as little Holiday gifts, and would be especially cute for New Year's I think. Stay tuned for more of these, because I really like this idea!

I hope your week has been good to you, and that you're ready for another great weekend. We have the kids, and so I'm not sure what the agenda will include, but I'm quite sure there will be another Disney movie in there somewhere ;)

Take care!

Peace & Luv,
Happy Thursday!! Well thanks to my wonderful Stampin' Up demonstrator I have something to post for you today. Isn't this darling? She included it in with my order, and I just love it! I didn't get the chance to make one at our last get together, mostly because I spent too much time yakin'! I just love it, and thanks so much Jan!!

My tummy is feeling better, but I'm just so tired. My mojo is already tucked away in bed, and I'm about it follow it. I hope to have something new for you tomorrow that I started working on, but just haven't finished it up and it includes candles.

I hope you're having a good week, and getting all of your tricks and treats ready for the big day!

Take care!

Peace, Luv & Happy Friday-Eve!

Hello and Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday to you! Our sponsor this week is Digi Stamp Boutique and so is this image. She's called Zoe and she just loves her chocolate! I thought she'd work well for another Halloween card, and so I colored her all in and added some glitter to her hair bow and to the bottom of her shirt. The doodle and spider web papers are digital, from Pink Petticoat, and so is the sentiment. The base of the card is SU's Certainly Celery. The prize this week is 6 digi images and there are so many to choose from, you will have the hardest time deciding.

Be sure to check out all of the rest of the wonderful and fun cards from the rest of the gorgeous Design Team gals, and join us. You just may be the lucky winner of some of these images!

Have a very sweet Wednesday and take care!

Peace & Luv,

Hey there....just a short post today as there are certainly one of these monsters in my tummy jumping around. I'm not feeling good at all, but this little guy certainly does look pretty happy today. All of the papers are from CTMH's Hooligan's set and the 2 stamps are from the Party Animal matching stamp set. I followed Mojo Monday's sketch for this week, and I think my little great-nephew will get a kick out of this one for Halloween.

I hope you have a great day, but as for me I'm going back to bed to try and get some sleep now.

Peace & Luv,

Hello and Happy Monday to you! I've got a birthday card to share today using some of my favorite SU colors; Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay. The image is from Pink Petticoat that I colored in with the same marker colors, and added some Prisma glitter to her necklace and gift. Then I added some rhinestones and sheer white ribbon for the bling that every gal loves to see on her birthday card!

Where did the weekend go? Could I have a few more days please? Mine was good, they are just never long enough. My Packers lost again though and that wasn't a good thing. Although when your quarterback is playing with a concussion and he has no protection around him, that doesn't help! Ahhhh....football season is back! We went grocery shopping afterwards, and it's funny to see everybody (especially in the snack aisle) with their team shirts on. I, of course, had a Packer tshirt on, and Neal had his Viking shirt on. One guy looked at us and said geez - there's a house divider! So funny but oh so true!

I hope your weekend was great and you have plenty of coffee ready, or whatever it is you need to get through your Monday. The temps are finally coming down here in Arizona and I couldn't be happier about it. It's hard to get into the feeling of Fall when it's 90!

Have a beautiful day wherever you are, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Happy, happy Friday....yeah we made it through the week! Today's image and sentiment are from Shirley's 2 Girls, fun right?! It's pretty self-explanatory I guess, except to tell you that the papers are all from CTMH's Veranda set, I used a few copics to color in the image a bit, and a circle nestie to cut the birthday message out with. Then I just tied some brown grosgrain ribbon on, and there you have it! Should be good for someone who enjoys a glass of wine I hope.

Well what's on your agenda this weekend? For me; I'm having dinner tonite with a couple of the gals, and then tomorrow Neal and I are going to a fall festival in the afternoon and a going away party in the evening for a friend who is moving out of state. Sunday is full of football, along with the usual laundry, cookin' and cleanin'. You know how that goes. I'm looking forward to all of it, and intend to enjoy every minute of it!

I hope your weekend will be full of some fall fun of your own, thanks for visiting, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Happy Paper Play Challenges Thursday! There's a Photo Inspiration this week, as you can see from these scrumptous looking cupcakes. I tried to capture the bright and pretty colors as my inspiration, and then remembered that I had this image from Hambo Stamps that I don't think I've used before. The reason I got it to begin with was because of the cheese on top of the cupcake, which cracked me up because he's a mouse...get it...hehehe!! I know, I know, but it doesn't take much to make me laugh sometimes. The winner of this weeks challenge will get $15 to spend at Simon Says Stamp!

So the DP's that I used are from DCWV's Citrus Stack, along with some SU cardstock; Pixie Pink and Tempting Turquoise. Then I added some pink buttons, with some of the turquoise cardstock threaded through them. I'm not sure where I learned that, but I love how it all coordinates together. Besides that, there's the white ribbon and bow and.....oh....wait...I also used the sketch from Mojo Monday. I almost forgot to mention that. Anyway, I turned it on its side as I often do (tilt your head to the left), and I'm happy with the bright and fun feel of this one!

It's Thursday already, and that's always a good thing. Thanks for visiting, and take care!
Peace, Luv & Happy Friday-Eve!

Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday! This week we are sponsored by Sassy Cheryl's and the prize is a $5 certificate...yippee! This image is just one of the many for Halloween, so be sure to check them all out and join us this week. I used the new SU colors; Pear Pizzazz, Concord Crush, and Peach Parfait. All of the cardstocks, DP's and ribbon down the middle are the new colors. I used some circle and rectangle nesties, and then added some flowers and a pretty sheer ribbon bow. The image is popped up, and I also used the frog from the image, made bigger through the magic of Photoshop, and printed it out again, to put in the lower right corner. That's just one of the wonderful things you can do with digi's!

As usual the rest of the Design Team gals have all come up with some fabulous creations, so be sure to check them all out and leave them some love!

Have a very sweet Wednesday and take care!

Peace & Luv,

Happy Tuesday to you! Anyone that knows me well, knows that I really don't get into the whole Christmasy thing very much, but these are some little stocking stuffers for a craft fair coming up that's associated with work. Anyway, I found this idea out there in blogland and thought it would be cute. It's basically some two-sided cardstock cut into 2 inch slices, so to speak, folded down and then tied together with some sheer ribbon. It actually already had the circle border already on it, which is an added little bonus. Then I printed this verse out on to some DP and made some little cards out of them. I added a little jingle bell for fun, tied on with some more of the pretty sheer white ribbon. I think they're cute, and would sure cheer up a gal's stocking, with the bright pink and green, or would even be fun to tie onto a package. I've got more ideas for them that I need to put into action quickly, as the sale is coming up soon!

Have an awesome Tuesday, and don't worry - I do still believe in Santa....hehe.....Take care!

Peace & Luv,
Good Morning and Happy Monday!! Does this look like me today? I wish!! Anyway, Lola Rose is good to go this morning in her purple and gray from Pink Petticoat. The DP's are SU's as well as the cardstock. This color scheme was all based off of this ribbon, funny how that happens sometimes, ya?! The cardstock is Tempting Turquoise, and the papers are from the Cottage Wall set. I used a zig-zaggy scissor to give her a little bit of life on the cardstock beneath her and she's popped up. Then I added some pretty silver and glittery sticker flowers, removed the pearls that were in the centers, and replaced them with some turquoise rhinestones.

So how was your weekend? Mine was good. I got to watch the Princess and the Frog finally with Allie Friday nite...........sooooo cute, got some little craft fair things done for our Auxiliary ladies' annual fair for them, and just chilled out. Of course Sunday is always full of football, and Neal made a big crock pot full of chili. It actually creeped back into the 90's again over the weekend, and will stay there this week too, but as long as it's not in the triple digits I'm ok.

I did make an appointment for my little red bug for its hail damage, but I can't even get in until the 28th for them to look at it. They say it may be months because of all of the damage the storm caused to so many cars out there. What can you do?

Well I hope your Monday will be a good one, and I know that probably lots of you have off for Columbus day. I don't have off, but I know that my drive in to work will be quicker with less traffic, and that's never a bad thing. It's also fall break for all of the Scottsdale schools, so even less traffic!! Maybe it'll just take me 1/2 hour instead of 45 minutes, fingers crossed!
Peace & Luv,
Hi there and Happy Friday! This is a blast from the past (May) card, but a special order for someone so I thought it'd be ok to re-visit her again today. The image is from Pixie Dust Studio, and basically I just used a bunch of scraps, but I was glad that I still had some of the same DP to make the card almost a duplicate. There's some Prisma glitter on her tassles, and she's popped up. I added 2 rhinestones to make it look like her bottle, and some fun ribbons.

Well today was soooooo busy at work, but that's what I get for taking a day off mid-week. Unfortunately, there were some people that were not happy with that choice, but geez can I have a life people?! Anyway, I have the internet back, but my poor little red bug has hail damage. I'm just sick about it. I love that car, so I'll have to see what can be done to fix it. It's not real bad, but still.

On a happy note, it's Friday already and that's just a really, really, really good thing!
I hope your week has been good to you, I appreciate you visiting, and take care!

Peace & Luv,

Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday on Thursday!! Geezzzz.....what a whirlwind I've been on the last day and how I have realized how I cannot live with the internet! We had a huge storm come through Arizona Tuesday nite, we lost internet and they can't come out until today. I wasn't at work yesterday, but I am today, and given that it's about 25 miles away and the internet works here, this is the only chance I've had to get this uploaded. I apologize to all of my fellow Sweet Sketch Wednesday Design Team-ers and to all of you for not being able to post sooner.

This adorable little kitty is from Di's Digi Downloads, who is our sponsor this week. The prize will be 5 digital images from Di!! That's an awesome prize right there!

Since I'm at work, that's just what I need to start doing, since my desk is overloaded right now! I'll catch up more with you tomorrow.

Peace, Luv & Happy Friday-Eve!

Happy Tuesday! Another birthday card using CTMH's Cherry-O paper. Yesterday I used some of the reverse sides of the paper, and today the front. The top DP, the green with dots, is actually Stampin' Up though. The image is a Pink Petticoat Lola, all colored in and popped up. I used a large scallop scissor for the bottom, tied some ribbon on and then added some bling. There is also some Prisma glitter on her necklace and bracelet.

We actually got some rain her yesterday, and some thunder and lightening too! We were able to give the a/c a good rest overnite and hopefully today too. It's so nice to get some fresh air in the house!

Thanks for visiting, I appreciate your comments very much, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
Hi there and Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! Today's card is a beautiful mermaid from Shirley's 2 Girls. I colored her all in and used some CTMH papers from the Cherry-O set. Then I added some star rhinestones and a pretty blue sheer bow. This is a special order for a friend of a friend, so I hope it's what she's looking for.

Well, what did I do this weekend besides make cards?........I watched some movies, read, cooked, shopped, laundry, football, and just basically hung out. I love those kind of weekends, and I turned out some fun cards to boot! I hope your week will be good to you and I appreciate you visiting very much. Take care!

Peace & Luv,

It's Friday and it's October already, yikes!!! This little gal from Pink Petticoat is all dolled up and ready to par-tay I would say, right?! The papers are from CTMH; the Emporium paper packet. There's a label nestie cut out behind her, some bling and pretty ribbon.
Simple and sweet just like all Friday's should be!

Have an awesome, safe, and fun weekend. Thanks for hangin' with me this week, and take care!

Peace & Luv,
